Rita Varga
Since 2005, Rita Varga has been working on painting projects, from Ophélia, through the Boxing Women series, to Cacti. In addition to painting, she also deals with graphics, video, photography, public art, land art, and installation works. Different media of art help as tools in the creative processes and in the creation of works of art. She selects different media of creative communication for a given topic or theme and decides on the most appropriate use. The visual tool of her paintings is painting after a photo. The depicted images are the results of an organized action. The series take place and were made in different places, times, and situations. She highlights different signs and aspects when painting each series. The most important thing in creating the series is the depiction of time. The theme of her paintings is the reinterpretation of the 21st century woman, Ophelia or Cactus in a robe.
